Disciple making and the goodness of God

In our first session, Neil described the central importance of the question 'who is Jesus' in the gospel of John, and how this relates to our calling as disciples and disciple makers.

This week we are going to dig a little more into this, and consider how our view of God, and our experience of his goodness, affects the whole of our lives, and can help us to make disciples.

Some questions to be pondering:

Can you think of examples of how a wrong view of God's character has adversely affected your life, or that of someone you know?

Looking back at the most difficult times in your life, how do you maintain a belief that God is good? Can you see God's goodness even in those moments?

Do you use your own story to encourage others to persevere in tough times?

See you all on Thursday!

  1. I would particularly encourage you to read John chapter 10 before you come on Thursday.
